Advantages of Getting Fit

If you want some motivation to get fit, then there are lots of good reasons to do so. Many of us put off doing exercise because it takes effort and means that we actually have to break our normal routine. However, there are so many great reasons for doing it.

Most people know that keeping fit is a great way to keeping the body healthy. It helps the heart stay healthy but also can keep away many other diseases as well in direct and indirect ways. It can help osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease, even depression and these are all illnesses that are likely to run in families.

Exercising will also help keep the weight down. Being overweight has a number of disadvantages. It can make you more likely to get disease. It also can make it more difficult to move about. It can also make you feel unhappy about how you look. Exercise can tone up your muscles which will be another way that it can improve the way that you look. Obviously you will need to work the areas that you want to change and not overwork muscles if you do not want them to get too big.

Exercise also releases hormones in to the blood stream which can make you feel happier. This is one reason why it is good for depression. Even if you are not a sufferer of depression, it is still great to feel happier. We all enjoy feeling this way.
